2021 Benno Updates – New Motor Available!
Since bike shows such as Eurobike have been canceled for this year, we decided to make a video on the new updates to the Benno bikes for 2021! Benno is such a creative guy and has been implementing new and exciting updates to his bikes this year including the new Bosch Performance Sport motor and new accessories. Last year these bikes were super popular and we anticipate this year being the same.
We hope you found this video to be helpful. If you have any questions or comments feel free to leave those below!

Hello, Chris,
in your videos you often talk about the importance of tires.
I explicitly agree with you.
When i bought my ebike (a KTM from Austria) i unfortunately did not take this aspect into account. It is a very good touring bike but unfortunately with 28x 1.7 tires.
My wife and I ride very often on dirt roads and forest tracks. The difference between her bike (Riese&Müller with 27,5 x 2,3) and mine is huge.
On unpaved roads the wider tires offer much more stability, better directional stability, better cornering and much more comfort. Especially the comfort advantage is huge. Her wider tires absorb smaller bumps (small potholes, small stones, roots, …) even better than my good air-suspension fork.
My clear recommendation to all who ride their bike on different roads is. Choose 27,5" (or less) tires with more than 2" width.
27,5" dia (or less) because of agility and lower center of gravity
> 2" width because of the above mentioned aspects
Do not worry about higher rolling resistance. The motor will iron that out. You may even consider a MTB tread pattern
HP. I had temporarily converted my bike to 2". That changed my bike into a very good, comfortable allrounder.
Unfortunately my fenders don’t fit anymore so I have to live with the narrow tires.
Obsessing over these Boost tires! …not many options in 24 x 2.5-ish, and these look like the ideal compromise. Leading candidate when I need a new pair.
I really like the Benno design philosophy. All of his bikes are well thought out & ride-able for any gender.
Great bikes. Cool dolphins.
You may want to enunciate when saying "…heart on…";)
I really don’t get why this company still refuses to ditch derailleurs or even offer any alternative.
My first eBike was a Benno. They have really improved since 3 years ago. I still think the front bag needs to close toward the rider, not toward the front. It catches the wind and the water. Glad they moved the battery and added attachment points for accessories. And they also changed the geometry of the rack so it can accept panniers of many kinds. I had to jury rig mine. The Benno panniers are not really worth it. But still, a good first love.
The new performance sport motor sounds intriguing . It is just what we need here in the UK . Maybe when we leave the E.U ? As it stands now anything over 15.5mph must be registered as a moped.
YAY…looking forward to the podcast! I don’t know if the title is the CATCHIEST it can be, but (🐬 DOLPHIN!) it’s a good start. 👍 I think that ideally, the title would give some indication of the subject of the podcast itself. Just as we judge a (🐬 DOLPHIN!) book by its cover, I know that when I’m browsing podcasts, the title and graphic have to stand out in some way to make me say, “Oooh, clever!” or “Wow…PRETTY! 😍”
Actually, the logo is probably the FIRST ☝️ thing I notice (probably the case for most people), and I bet you’ve already (🐬 DOLPHIN!) got some great ideas for it. I guess if the title is paired with the logo, then the subject will probably be obvious. 🤷🏻♀️
Special bikes! A lot of new Bosch motors as well. Did not know that the Bosch Performance line Sport was on the market. Can not find it on the internet. In The Netherlands you only have the "normal" e-bike ( Not faster then 25 km p/h) and the speed version 45 km p/h. Nothing in between. So I am curious where that type of motor will fit. Perhaps just a little stronger? Nice vlog again Chris. And funny 😉
🦈🦈🦈🦈🦈🦈🦈🦈❤
I’ve so been waiting for a cargo trike.
I love these Benno bike designs!
Nice to see them providing special models for non Euro markets… Maybe in 2022 or 2023 they will add a throttle for US market, but that is probably more up to Bosch and other Euro-centric motor producers. After riding an ebike with a throttle, it would be hard for me to go back.
Still riding an Electra Townie Go, bullet proof. 8spd nexes. band brakes Love the frame geometry. Thankyou Mr.Benno
I like the RemiDemi. Looking for a fat bike with internal gears. Not many Benno dealers in my area.
🐬
You CRAZY 😜…I Like It !!!
Another comprehensive update. Love the inclusion of the dolphins. And the editing is on point, never getting too distracted. Nice work as usual both. Interesting point about the external battery, hadn’t noticed, must be a good sign! Lol@bikes passing by
Wish we could go more than the 15.5mph in the UK. Maybe one day. Bikes look cool though

Great video. No belt drive available on RemiDemi?
