7 New Electric Bikes w/ Old School Designs and Retro Bicycle Accessories

Latest innovations are gradually becoming more involved in transport design and engineering. At first electric drivetrains were used in cars, then in trucks, vans and motorcycles. Now it seems that this smart technology is making its way in the bike world.

Why would you need electric drive motors, smart displays and infotainment systems on a bicycle? The answer is simple, modern living requires new technologies being applied to classic vehicles. All-electric bicycles make amazing city commuters and enable people to switch from cars to two-wheel rides in the cities.

It should be noted that many companies don’t want to give their smart bicycles futuristic looks, on contrary, there are amazing e-bicycles that come with stylish retro designs, hand-crafted elements and vintage features.

This video briefly reviews latest bicycle inventions of 2019. All of the media clips, images and video material used for make this presentation are shown for educational and illustrative purposes, All of the sources are shown in the credits section at the end of the video.

Smart retro bicycles look extremely neat outside but on the inside they hide a bunch of neat features that could turn city commuting or cycling into a fun daily adventure.

  1. Great looking cycles, but some of them look to have very uncomfortable riding positions/geometry. Would have been ok years ago when they had an engine, but trying to pedal some of these cycles must be arduous. The transformation from engine to pedal power doesn’t work for some frames. More for posing around town than going on a long journey. Nice video.

  2. I want a Vincent Black Shadow but this will do. Thank you

  3. Real men buy real bikes, not a weak ebike

  4. I heard some b/s in my time but these are classics, sounding like the handiwork of marketing graduates with a degree from some sec….. sorry third-rate b/s online ‘university’

I ll buy how do I do that. irackthomas@gmail.com

  6. I build own cruisers. Frame: Shwinn Stingray. 1500W, 1000Wh. All elecrticals hidden in pannier, no cables, no screens, acces trough bluetooth. Min range (full speed, only electric) over 20miles, max range: over 40 miles, never really got to the end of battery when not using throttle too much and riding with speeds below 25mph. Cost: £100 bike itself, £300 battery, £250 motor and controller. Other (tires, bags, new linkage, quick charger from aliexpress) £100. together £750. Max speed 40mph. Wheelies when you are not carefull on take-offs.. Min range 20 miles. Charge time 4h on 6amp charger or 12h on 2a charger (this one stays at my workplace and usually finishes my home-to-work distance charging after 4 hours) I dont uderstand prices of these bikes build in most on generic parts…

  7. Way too expensive buy a honda cub or similar

  8. The ‘Rayvolt Cruzer’ is a god awful design.

It looks as if it was designed for visual aesthetics alone, and had absolutely no considerations for how comfortable the ride would be. The pedalling of that thing is horrid, and would mess up your knees.

  9. The Greaser is cool af in the style department, but a bit underpowered for the money. The others are an easy “pass” for me.

  10. Fucking hipsters.

  11. *Power and control are accessible in a comfortable▫▫▫>**share4.photo/VintageBike?ㅈ **   intuitive interface. On-demand acceleration is delivered via human power, or with a flick of the thumb throttle. Five power modes are available, providing a ride that’s mild when you need it and wild when you want it. The powerful regenerative hydraulic disc brakes keep things from getting out of control while simultaneously returning power to the battery.*

  12. Holy smoke! Those prices are outrageously expensive! $6,600.00 for a 250 watt motor? You can’t even do serious hills on something pathetically weak like that.

  13. My battery cost me a thousand dollars I get a thousand chargers each charge gets me 140kms it cost me 37cents a week to charge it in electricity I hope that explains things to the monkey brain.

  14. You forgot about the cheetah retro bike

  15. song name @ 6:40?

  16. I don’t know why people say the Rayvolt Cruzer looks like a cafe racer or a 60s style bike. Looks much more like a 1920s or very early 1930s Indian or Harley to me.

  17. these bikes are more than my old Ford Focus

  18. shrtlink.ca/andsawrealdoll73

  19. What region of England is that accent from? It is almost devoid of "th".

  20. Fucken great no bullshit fuel expense no scam artists mechanics just fuk head politicians keeping the speed down on the bikes.

$15K for a bike! They are out their damn minds! You can buy an extremely nice used car for that! Or even some lower to mid range cars new!

  32. can this go up a steep hill

  33. 10 yrs ago i built and sold gas powered bicycles. I am so IMPRESSED with these battery powered beauties. $2500 to $3000 is not to much for a unique and practical commuting solution. Too many peeps want everything free. Wake up boys and girls, you are in the real world now.

  34. this is awesome, thanks for sharing. you might find this rebuild entertaining https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCrZ5pXy9euzp2-auHb9OCHA

  35. Specialized 29er March 14, 2021 @ 11:02 pm

One major problem with these cruisers is the ride height and unless your 5 foot the riding position and even worse the pedaling position is suited to a gorilla.

  36. Pardon me…would you have any grey poupon?

  37. do this earth a favor and put a real engine in!
it’s about time that you look for the truth…

  38. trashiest potato March 14, 2021 @ 11:05 pm

I’m 230 240. I run over a pebul n it’s flat. Glass or some shit. I’m sick of bikes. I have no licence.

  39. Buy the non motorized frame, tank, fenders from ruffcycles, a 1500w bbshd w/dual 52v packs, and all the rest off ebay for $2100. Looks exactly like brown ruffian for half the cost, twice the power and range. Add another 500 and up it to 4k watt with a grin phaserunner. DONT SPEND $6k

  41. Kosynier Manufacture March 14, 2021 @ 11:11 pm

We also love vintage ebike, handmade, details. wow

  42. And peasants have no shame in staring at you for an awkwardly long time to the point of making you feel uncomfortable enough to want to jump off the bike and cave there f****** heads in.

  43. They all look so fucking uncomfortable. The bikes somehow manage to look like they’re too small for you even though they’re relatively big.

  44. i prefer an e-bike that looks & rides more like a bicycle. The riding position on these vintage looking things makes the pedals virtually redundant. & they look like toys.

  45. Graeme Brumfitt March 14, 2021 @ 11:18 pm

Pedalling efficiency looks crap on the Rayvolt bike, seat to low n bloody heavy as well, love the bike though especially the closing shot of the green and leather, WOW. Lohner looked YUK. why do they all have 26" wheels? Dont people know there are 36" wheels out there. Also why do they all seem to be more electric/peddle than peddle/electric? Askin for a friend! Just sayin like G 🙂

  46. All is awesome… Apart from the price.
I can’t afford any of these bikes

  47. crazy prices, a long time in coming, time will reduce prices.

  48. They look nice, but they are way overpriced. If they are going to sell to the general public and if they are going to make a difference for the planet, they are going to have to greatly reduce their cost to the buyer.
