Best eBike of 2020 – The Dōst Drop Electric Bike

The Dōst Drop is my favorite Hybrid eBike that I have found. It is perfect for going all over town . The DŌST comes fully-loaded with a powerful 750 Watt mid-drive motor in the, plus it eliminates range anxiety with its dual battery option for up to 120 miles of range. You can use either pedal assist or the throttle which is fun for when you do not want to pedal.

The bike is shipped nearly complete and only took about 15 minutes for me to get ready for my first ride. All DŌST ebikes come with a phenomenal comprehensive 2-year warranty on the frame and all of the technology too. Beyond the simple assembly, one of my favorite features is that the display uses a percentage instead of bars…so you have a lot less anxiety because you know exactly how much battery strength is left.

DŌST Bikes are designed in Canada and built with components from the biggest names in the industry – Shimano, Bafang, Samsung, Schwalbe – at production facilities in Taiwan.

DŌST Bikes combine a high-performance 750W mid-drive motor capable of speeds of 28 mph (45 km/h). Other key features include a rear rack with 100 lbs. capacity for utility & trekking and low-step frames for comfort. All bikes are “fully loaded” with prices starting at $2799 USD.

All DŌST Bikes are “fully loaded” including: suspension fork, hydraulic front/rear disc brakes, puncture resistant Schwalbe Super Moto X tires (27.5” x 2.4”), integrated Spanninga front/rear LED lights, full coverage fenders, kickstand, chainguard, DŌST gel wide saddle with lifting handle, adjustable handlebars, and an eBike specific KMC anti-rust chain .

I really love all of the features that this ebike has to offer. If you have any questions please leave a comment below and I will do my best to assist you. Enjoy the ride! -Kenneth

  1. One of the bikes I’m seriously considering. Is the main battery removable?

  2. If you look at the bottom of the display you will find the USB port. Also you can change your power assist to go up to 9

  3. Hi. I’m seriously considering this bike and the Kope. How long did it take for you to receive it from the time that you ordered yours? Are there any import taxes (or taxes of any kind) charged to you? Thank you in advanced.

  4. Just purchased mine!

The USB port is under the bottom of the display, facing the rider. It gives a rather minimal charge to a smartphone, not really enough to have much of an effect on overall battery performance but will keep the phone alive.
