  1. Hi Johnny, love all the professional info you give in your videos.
Two questions for you, ok, make it three questions. I have a Micargi Mustang GTS stretch cruiser I鈥檇 love to put a mid drive Bafang 750 on, is it possible to clock the motor so it is above the bottom bracket? There鈥檚 plenty of room between the seat tube and bottom bracket because of the stretched frame.
As far as a battery location, is it possible to have a battery of 52v made into two separate packs that plug into each other, so I can carry them in two hard side saddlebags?
And lastly, the bike has only a single speed, would an internal hub be a better choice? Very limited dropout width unfortunately.

  2. How is the pedal assist? Could you use this as a single speed? And if so what would be the sweet spot for single speed gearing.

  3. Interesting looking bike without the crossbar. Try slinging your leg over a motorcycle seat in your late 50’s, that’s when you really know you are getting old, big difference between a bicycle and motorcycle.馃榾
p.s. I got a free light with the Bafang kit, but never ride in the dark, so didn’t fit it.

  4. Cheers Bruv !

  5. I have a Verve 2 and believe the brakes are hydraulic disc, not mechanical disc.
On your upgrade reviews, is it possible to give a difficulty rating or comment for that specific upgrade? That would help us pursue, or pass up a bike model for conversion.
Learned a lot from your channel! Your hub vs mid mount vid was a good one. Makes me wince to see my friends $2k bikes+ with a hub motor.
    Thanks for sharing your expertise.

Thought you said big lizard coming at first haha. I’m thinking of putting a midwives on my Trek Marlin 7. I’m wanting to get back into biking and get fit again plus do some delivery work but don’t want to get discouraged by the biggish hills. What would you recommend kit wise? I think over here 250w is the biggest we can go but willing to go to 750 if I can restrict it down in case I got caught lol. What speed and range can a 250w motor actually do though? Thanks

  7. Update on your Versys? I have the same red one and I just hit 15k miles.

  8. Sweet Ebike build
Would really be nice if the battery could be mounted down low under the downtube

    58.8 X 25 = 750. I don’t get the new math but I like it;)
    Another nice build.

Hey I would love if you can build me a bike, I am looking for something that can go for 100 miles, carry a lot of what and is highly durable. my trek verve 2+ got stolen, but boy that frame never fell apart. If I can get a 52v 20+amph battery with a bafang 750, Id be happy to work with you, reach out thanks

  13. Whats your opinion on the Ristretto 303 FS? Its a mid drive with 3500 watts of peak power, full suspension, 52V 17.5 battery 40mph top speed with a VIN# to register as a moped. Its launching on Indiegogo this month.

  14. Lovely bike there Johnny – just built my first one, same bbs02b, 500c, gear sensor, etc, from a 拢300 new mtb. It鈥檚 being built as a commuter/for doing my new Uber job (getting paid for ebiking around my town 馃槀馃槀馃槀 Awesome bit of kit, the Bafang…..馃憤馃憤馃憤

What is the mid kit you recommend for a Scotty Hydro superlight bike. And, I want one that I can choose for it not to peddle for me, just give me a push boost. Thank you
