I wish if you add jets to this ebike. And make a jump test.

  2. Try it on a beach bike with a large angle on the rear frame, where the rear wheel sits. Trying on 4 bikes that are exactly the same type means nothing.

  3. Great kit fitted one on a 1970s racing bike. I upgraded the speed controller to a 36 volt one and a 36v 10amp lithium bottle battery
Never ever twist the throttle when your stationary always pedal first

Hello! Sorry to see the motor did not work, did you still figure out how to get the hoverboard batteries to work? I’m trying to use a single battery to drive an ebike, and you seem to be one of few who’s actually attempted it.

  5. That motor mount is CLEARLY designed to go INSIDE the frame. You spent more time editing that one shot of the video showing how the angle is wrong than you should have taken to just try it different ways until it fit…

Verry bed motor im buy this one year im buzy by this but not susccesfully and failed to install on bike

  7. داهێنان لە کوردستان Idea from Kurdistan January 14, 2021 @ 10:37 pm

dear this model verry defecult to install on bike verry defecult yes ?

  8. Thank you for the update Micah – I was looking forward to your progress on this project. I hope you find a solution!

  9. With probably thousands ob bicycle frame designs out there, it’s unlikely that there’s ever going to be a UNIVERSAL KIT that fits all… and is expected when you are doing things in a budget that you will have to do some improvisation, some fabrication…. I really enjoy your videos and consider the information you share usually very helpful: I think that in this case you got carried away for the frustration of not being able to make it work AS IS… Still, the kit you putted together IS FAIRLY GOOD and some body else can make use of it adding a few washers or welding an extension to the mounting bracket. …. Wish you had come up with one of your creative ideas. cheers.

…why can’t you have a machine shop, or someone who has metal working capabilities, to help you modify the black universal mounting bracket. There is nothing that prohibits anybody, from having to modify that bracket. The same applies to a lot of aftermarket suspension products made for cars and cars trucks, that are "Universal" 🤔

In Poland that kind of video would make 1.5 million views 🙂

  12. Muhammad Zahangir Alam January 14, 2021 @ 10:41 pm

how is it that other youtubers are able to fit it?

  13. Okay i have watch your video and agree with you that it will not fit the bike.

I built handicap bike for people and have purchase this kit about 15 times and it works very well if you modify the motor bracket. All i do is take a large hammer and beat half of the bend out of the two factory bends on the bracket. You will have to place the bracket in a vice to straighten it to lineup. Also you may want to repaint the bracket because at that point you have beaten some of the paint out.

I have two kits coming tomorrow and would could take pictures and send to you if you would like.

  14. I bought a currie ezip that had a motor similar to this and found it to be junk, 2 weeks later it had a wheel kit installed, much better.

not all bad talk is bad.

  16. u can refer the WOW DIY INVETOR METHOD posted on september 4

  17. Do you have an email address so I can contact you for some advice?

I received mine a week ago and I maxed out around 18 mph. Though the motor blew up after 10 minutes ride at maximum speed. Do you know if the 36v DC motor are designed to heat up easily? Because I have multiple of the 24v and they work fine.

  19. How can I get this to work on a trike?

  20. I fitted this type of motor 250w with same universal mount in my 28 inch roadcoster indian desi bicycle . I am from India. With 24amp 12v battery I drive 60km in single charge.

  21. Dont be a p*ssy.
Just crank the frame a little bit or mount it from inside.

  22. I currently have a gas powered 80cc motorized bike that doesn’t run anymore. Planning to go electric when I saw this kit. The reason why is because it uses similar sprocket mount that attaches to rear wheel. Just curious if this kit will work with what I have.

  23. Hey man, I have this exact kit and others. It works great!!! There’s nothing wrong with the motor mount. You are putting it on wrong. It is meant to go on in the back with a bike rack, as soon as you put a rack on and flip it…you will see it alligns up with the back fork and v of the rack. Hope this helps

  24. Expecting not to have to modify a $100 universal kit to make it work is kind of unreasonable…it would be like buying a universal front lip for your car and expecting it to work without modifying.

I’m late to this post and to your channel. I just trash picked a fixie. It has a fixed gear on the left side. Is there a way to replace that gear with a larger diameter one for bike rack style ebike conversion? I presume you need to pull the gear and press in another. Could that cheapo $103 kit be adapted to my fixie?

  26. This kit worked for me. I am confused a little bit when I opened the box, because it has no instruction manual in the box, even a page! I watched a video on the youtube, it turns out very easy to install. I, first, installed the motor on the right side and it works fine, just you have to pedal along because the crank set has no free wheel. I am about to try it on the left side.

  27. Maybe you should add a link to this episode in the description of the parts video, and make a clear disclaimer that you don’t recommend this kit.

  28. This man is cool

  29. It fits on a "Chinese" bike which will be a single-cog bike, probably 3-speed, internal hib.

  30. andreas sørensen January 14, 2021 @ 11:09 pm

    "anything you like"

  31. I wouldn’t do it that way, but I have a lathe and a milling machine so I’m pretty sure I could make it work, The might amuse that other people have some ability to improvise, otherwise they would just buy a pre-built bike.

  32. Longer bolts for the bracket and lots of washers

  33. Abd Aziz Abd Hamid January 14, 2021 @ 11:13 pm

Thought of buying it but after your review changes my mind.
The motor footing surely very hard to align with the hub, even initially ok, due to vibration later will surely result in misalignment. Tq

Well not sure where this video was hiding on me as I was looking for the follow up video to your original one, title may have thrown me off.

Question for you: I am looking to add a motor to my canoe cart with a possible modification to allow my wife to also ride on it like a rickshaw. She has problems with her legs and can no longer do long hikes. What I need is a motor that has a good amount of torque and only goes maybe a bit faster than walking speed. Not really sure what I should be looking for/at though, motor wise, at this point. Any help/guidance is appreciated.

I think rear ride e conversation kit will be better choice…

  36. It works perfectly on mine

  37. I used the 36v 450w version of this kit w/ a disc brake sprocket. Installed on my Mongoose fat bike. Installing was a bit problematic, but with a little ingenuity, a few trips to the hardware store, and 4 chains later it’s my daily commuter. I kinda want to make a video for installing it, but really don’t want to tear it apart right now. Oh and I had to use a chain tensioner. I’ve posted pics on Pinterest.

  38. Thanks for this, I was about to buy one.

  39. Dude.. dont depend on the original mount. Customize it. Thats a real d.i.y projects made.

I thought the motor has a problem and I realized that was you.

  40. Can you tell me what’s the good price or cheapest motor for a quadricycle?

  41. The bracket mounts the other way round by the way. Flip it over and it will be an inch deeper.
Also you do have to use washers to level it and also you might need to extend or shortern the chain.
Did fit it and works really well btw.

  42. Nice vid, but jeez! Get to the point! The attachment doesn’t fit – good warning, we’ve all been there

  43. I was looking all over that exact type motor and there this is saying what I experienced but I will look toward a custom mount
Thanks for the info was helpful

  44. I think I can see a fix to try ……Add the first start of the motor with washers to bring the front sprocket inside the frame that should be your design problem I think I see as fast as the video played my thaoughts Jeff Moreland

  45. I’d love to have any parts U don’t use ??😁 I live on SSI because of my heart so making power assist bikes IS something I love IT gets me around and gives me things to do😁😁 I ordered a nice Ebike when I got my back pay but never received IT some guys IN China 🙈🙉🙊 took my money so I built a bike out of old parts and I do OK but it’s not electric so it’s messy and I still want 1 😁😁😁 anyway have A good day and keep rolling down the road..Tiggerbock

  46. Glad I watched this before buying after watching the last video! I’d update the description.

  47. Like the vids but this should be titled ‘How to build a super cheap bike – FOLLOW UP’

It seems the guy in this video uses what looks to be the bracket in a different way that seems to work. Perhaps you can give this a try.
