We love electric rideables. Hoverboards, skateboards, scooters, motorcycles, mopeds, unicycles, tricycles… You name it, we’ve ridden it. But electric bikes belong in a category of their own because they are more than just a fun tech fad. They could actually be the future of transportation. That said, there’s a lot to choose from out there, and you don’t want to get fooled, so here’s what you need to know.

Around 5:20 in the video, we say that in Europe, class 1 e-bikes are the most popular. Actually, the most popular e-bikes in the EU are unregulated with motors rated at 250W.

Why is pablo escobar explaining me about ebike ?

  4. Thank You for the informative comprehensive review..

  5. Multiply the Volts with the Amp-hours to get Watt-hours, not Amps alone. You even show Ah in the video! 😉

  6. That wasn’t everything I needed to know about ebikes.

  7. I really like to ride a bike, but just not safe here in SoCal.

  11. what is that bike at 4:15 in the video

  12. I am a kid and i drive an ebike because its like a moped(scooter)but for kids and because when i want to come home from school i dont have to call my dad to pick me up and because of strangers i go to school from 1:30 to 5:30 and in winter there is dark so to me its like a moped but for kids the con is that you have to charge it for 3 to 4 hours but you can drive it for 24 hours so you should definetly buy it if you want a motorcycle or a moped

  13. look up panasonic japanese electric bikes, in japan there are so many of them, 80% of the bikes here are electric

  14. They will never replace cars in northern cities and Canada, where you can only ride a bike for about 4 months of the year. Also, lots of people live in tiny apartments and basement suites where they don’t have any place to store a bike.

Can you ride the bike without the motor assist if you want to get a cardio workout?

  16. I just bought 1. Very good on hills. Im 38 not very fit. This ebike is just peddle assist. Feels like you get rewarded for riding. Up hills made easy

  17. IF YOU RIDE MORE THAN 8 MILES .YOU DEFINITELY NEED AN EBIKE.

This guy is really bad at interpreting maths/physics. There is more ebike revenue in the Netherlands, but less overall bikes sold. What hours are not “the number of watts that can be delivered in an hour” it is the capacity of the battery. For example it can provide double the wattage in half the time, or half the wattage for double the time.

  19. 1:31 …not amazing. Bikes have two wheels, drive train has to be in the rear and where else would a battery go?

  20. The main reason I don’t have an ebike is because a new one costs as much as my car, and I’m not going to be able to use a bike where I live in the winter because it shows 3-4 ft a night…

  21. Meanwhile in India there isn’t any electric vehicles 😢🥺

  22. Ew, u need a helmet for these things? No thanks, ill stick with my classics… if I must wear one id buy a motorcycle

  23. on electric bikes, when the battery gets low does the motor just zap out shut and leave you there or does it still pull a little

  24. There’s this campaign going on in indigogo for “flx babymaker “ an e-bike. Would you recommend it ? Please have a look i really don’t know anything abt it

  25. Battery box cost

  26. I didn’t know this was a documentary of the history and future of bicycles all I want to know is the do’s and don’ts on how to buy one this video is a waste of time

  27. 3:42 …. can’t you see I"m White and Nerdy…….

What brand is the black e-bike?

  30. Would you replace a car with an electric bike?

  31. Would be great if battery were one commonly used in cordless drills.Imagine three more batteries in your backpack super extending range.

  32. Battery box

  33. These are great for delivery jobs and Instacart

  34. been biking on a trek mtn bike in newport/huntington beaches 10 years. i’d say about 30% of people are now riding e-bikes. Some days it’s very windy so an e-bike would be cool. that said, i like the exercise i get 25 days a month and don’t want to give that up yet. i’m 50, maybe when i’m 65

  35. There are some bike that do 150 km an hour

  36. Electric Bike Paradise December 13, 2020 @ 10:03 pm

Awesome video! Super in depth and easy to watch. Great work. I agree that ebikes are the future of transportation

  37. Are you Ron Jeremy’s younger brother?

  38. Steve Fagetaboutit December 13, 2020 @ 10:05 pm

Ebikes are NOT the “future of transportation”… Maybe in friggin China or Bangladesh or some other “$h!thole country. But in the USA, we like POWER, SIZE, and REAL modes of transport. Free people have choice, Democrats. I realize THAT is difficult for you to come to terms with.

  39. One thing to add, you’ll still pick up punctures, and on an ebike this can be a chore . The product ‘Green Slime’ is a self sealing compound you can put in your inner tubes. Also I would also invest in puncture proof tires. Happy e-biking.

  40. Thanks for the vid, I dont have an ebike but maybe in the future 😎👍

  41. People are flooding back in malaysian schools, everyone’s parent are dropping off their kids by a factor of X1000. The cyclist are under 30 people. The highway is deadlier then ever before in post covid.

  42. I’m the 667th cpmment

  43. Which one is better for London

  44. this was really helpful! not even sure I’m going to get an e-bike, but this was extremely comprehensive and definitely makes the task less daunting.

  45. Listen bro we don’t care about the history of e-bikes we just want to know how to buy one

  46. DIONYSUS LIMIT BREAK December 13, 2020 @ 10:11 pm

    I’m getting a radwagon 4 as soon as I can, it’s wicked

  47. We would have to radically transform the infrastructure to make ebikes a more serious contender to the automobile industry. This wont happen organically but by challenging our corporate controlled government.

  48. Bruh I got an E bike ad lol

  49. video quality very bad
