Gazelle NL C8 HMB Video Review – $2.5k Utility Cruiser Electric Bike

https://electricbikereview.com/gazelle/nl-c8-hmb/ The Gazelle NL C8 HMB is a high-quality utility electric bike with powerful Bosch centerdrive motor and high-capacity 500 watt hour battery, includes reflective tires and integrated lights for safety, faster 4-amp charger keeps you riding. Impressive two-year comprehensive warranty, thoroughly tested against UV and salt water exposure in the Netherlands, five color choices, three frame sizes, highly adjustable stem and swept-back handlebars. Premium paint-matched fenders and racks, fully enclosed chain cover keeps your pants or skirt clean, 8-speed internally geared hub can be shifted at standstill (requires less maintenance), double-leg kickstand is very stable. All of the great accessories add weight but walk mode has been enabled for 2018 and beyond, unique locking headset helps to stabilize the front rack for loading, hydraulic rim brakes are powerful and less likely to get bumped at a rack than disc brakes, sprung saddle adds a lot of comfort. 1. bikes with step through frame design is my favorite type of bikes. I’m a guy.

  2. I hit the thumbs up on every review you do, however, these step thru bikes are just the same ole same ole. I wish you would get back to the sporty and sexy ebikes that are coming out. I get it, you try to cover it all to make everyone happy.

  3. If I ride electric bike with bafang bbshd mid drive motor do I need 9 speed cassette? There just a bike with 9 speed, shall I buy it or better go with 8 speed? I used 8 speed all the time because 8 cassette and 8 speed chain are cheaper.

  4. How many lumens is the Spanninga Swingo? Also do you know why the gazelle website says Bosch intuvia, but local dealers have the Bosch purion.

Great review, very comprehensive. That’s a nice multi-purpose bike! That front rack is nice; I found when I bought my Gazelle that I started to want to take it everywhere including shopping so then you’re wanting more racks or baskets, or both. As long as Gazelle has been in business (over 125 years), Bosch has been in business even longer!

  6. $3k? Seriously? (Shakes Head) šŸ™

    Very nice

  8. Could you try looking at the DYU D1 electric bike?

  9. I do like the reviews covers most of what you need. I wish they covered more of the trikes and recumbent bikes geared more towards ppl with disabilities. Most of the reviews just cover his knee and neck problems. Also dont try to email electricbike review, they don’t get back to you? I emailed almost 2 weeks ago about a question, but still havent heard anything back. Also seen the same thing in the forums.

I know they are busy but would like if they could respond to emails. I’ve emailed some of the huge bike companies and gotten a response the same day or no more than 3 days later.

Those are the only 2 bad things I have to say about court and the the channel

  10. Weight doesn’t really matter for a bike like this. Perfect low maintenance urban bike. My R&M Delite weighs about 30kg and it’s fine. A little more tricky to manoeuvre it from where I keep it inside compared to my old non-ebike. But unless you have to lift it up stairs, it’s no issue at all.

    The pick up truck bicycle!

  12. I have watched many of your reviews, and can’t understand why all these companies don’t use tannus tire’s or another style no flat tire?

  13. I ordered the mens version of this today

  14. Do you still live in your car? 😊 I wanna do the same.

Hey guys! Starting in April of 2020, Gazelle has dropped the price for the NL C8 HMB down to $2,499.

  16. *It rides well, and does everything as advertised✳✳>**share4.photo/ebicycle?慅103Ā ** Ā  A few of the components aren’t the highest quality, but honestly for the price, its absolutely fantastic, better than I expected and I would recommend it to anyone. In fact, after trying mine out, I have a few family members that are probably going to buy the same bike.*

  17. Seems extremely extensive to me for that sort of bike. I’ve seen similar ebikes at that price that look far better

  18. 10 year frame warranty, holy shit

  19. nice video… Thank you for the video. <3

  20. I love this bike but where can I get this in Germany? Or even the Netherlands?

Love love my NL. Super comfortable urban riding and commuting, Bosch system is great. Some NL’s came with Purion, mine has Intuvia display with walk assist. Front stem lock is invaluable. This bike is heavy and can tip over at a standstill. Not meant to be ridden "as a bike" without the motor on, it is too heavy. Seriously sturdy kickstand though not easily retracted/set and can sometimes bump into things due to low placement. Overall love my bike though not many shops carry Gazelle in my area. Brake pads also not plentiful in my part of the world so when I come across some I buy multiple sets. 1700+ km and I’m going to need to replace my first set soon. This bike is definately not for everyone but for anyone wanting to go long distances in absolute comfort this is the one! Thanks for all the reviews.
