  1. Not happy with the Ebike as it suffers an intermittent electronic fault that suddenly drains the battery (3 times in a few months). Gtec avoided the issue. Cycle Republic took over servicing on behalf of Gtec a few months ago and at least they recognize that there is a problem that still needs resolution.

  2. Do you have to pedal or can u just press the button?

  3. If you experience a reduction of charge on the battery (or any rechargeable battery) seal it in a plastic bag and put it in the freezer overnight. Take it out of the freezer and let it get to room temperature before removing it from the bag otherwise condensation will form on it. Charge it and it seems to have restored itself. It has worked many times for me.

    THanks for this. Useful

  5. Thanks for the review, after cycling a short time years ago then back to motoring, it’s become a necessity to get some form of non penalising mode of transport now that the price Sadiq Khan has shafted car owners in London 馃槒 so yeah will probably get some form of lazy bike and shaft the government back with no road tax no fuel, how much do you think the tax man will lose out when the majority of car owners in London and other cities stop driving ??? GB is run by incompetent morons… 馃槒

  6. Underpowered rubbish that’s exactly what it is total waste of money.

  7. quadthing copter January 11, 2021 @ 10:47 pm

Nobody ever says what ebikes are like on going up hills

  8. Brilliant review, thank you.

  9. Thumbs down just cuz you are Polish hahaha

  10. Great review. I wonder can you change the front chain ring and give you higher gearing.

  11. Monika Cioch Perfumes January 11, 2021 @ 10:53 pm

I made a mistake saying that’s 20mph. Maximum speed of the bike is 15.5mph and 25km/h.

  12. Sorry dude, but with only one gear.. ouch… edited harsh words.
Most of these bikes that are rated to do 25klm (speed), personally I am fine with that (as long as on a relatively flat road) speed with my own bafang mid drive clocked at a little higher with a modding technique (250w), what I am pissed at is that hill climbing is a non event.. I get off and walk faster, not Bafang’s fault, legal restrictions to 250w is the real problem that I have found for most of the roads where I live..(Australia) are hills.. on a flat highway it’s as smooth as, any more than 25 degrees and the motor starts to feel it.. 250w are not an "adult weight rating" for these types of set ups for hill climbs.. my opinion.. that the legal limit should be at least 500w.. we can still limit the speed to 25klm’s…. real off road riding any wattage.. because it’s not usually considered as public thoroughfare.

  13. I bought one after watching your review. Mine broke on the first ride. The back wheel jammed and left me stranded miles from home. Fortunately I knew of an ebike store about 2 miles away, so had to DRAG the Gtech all the way there. But they didn’t know what was wrong and wondered if the motor had blown. So I had to drag the Gtech another 2 miles home. I don’t know if I’ve been unlucky or if this an issue with the Gtech ?!

  14. A more honest review of usage, Most other so-called reviews are mere advertising. Is it worth the money you paid for it?

  15. If anyone is interested I鈥檓 selling a Moustache Samedi 27 Race 9 Carbon E-Bike hardly ridden with no scratches. Paid 拢6399 and selling for 拢5000 ono 馃槈You can find it for sale on Gumtree if you live in the UK. 馃憤

  16. Thank you very much for this. My brother asked me about the range of the bike, and you’ve answered the question — and then some! Good job!

  17. thankyou for your review, ive been cycling the ebike in my profile pic for 6 years and over 20,000 miles . how do you like your leaf , i’m thinking leaf or env200

  18. I hate the nanny state 15 mph nonsense . However I still want an e bike . I have arthritis in my knee and walking is a problem. Would conciser a conversion kit but have no idea how to choose the right one. I,d be willing to pay for good quality and a long lasting battery and think this would be the best option for me considering my limited income and the fact that I have a bike already. Just not sure if any bike can be converted. I,ll need to look into it! Nice review Just the battery after nine months partially loosing its integrity is disappointing. I bet they are expensive to replace and I would like more than one gear . Lets see what happens. spring time here now , however locked down with corona virus restrictions. Just my luck.

  19. Wrap a piece of electrical tape around the Allen key it should stop it falling out, how much did the bike cost?

  20. Did you ever had power cuts off during ride?

  21. Not relevant to bike but what product do you use to keep your hair under control like that.. Great hair.

  22. The World is Your Lobster January 11, 2021 @ 11:13 pm

    Are these available on Amazon?

  23. Charge to 80% and discharge to 20%. Like all lithium batteries you should take care of them.

  24. 1:40

Camera: Hey don’t leave me! 馃槶

  25. great video. I notice the bikes got no suspension so I guess road use only

  26. elizabeth taylor January 11, 2021 @ 11:16 pm

For a more comfortable upright ride get the one without the top crossbar !

  27. Thanks good video… How tall are you is it a comfortable riding position?

  28. can you cycle normally without the assistance if the motor if you want?

  29. Yes , I am sure it is good for road commuting, and not much else, but that is what it is designed for, but that will have a big market around towns and cities, especially with congestion charges.
    Thanks for the video.

  30. Stanislav Sapozhnikov January 11, 2021 @ 11:21 pm

    Real Man! Beautifully video!!

  31. Great review, gives me confidence in buying one for my wife. Unsure where there are some negative comments, I thought the video, style and you were fantastic thank you.

  32. Please could you tell me if ‘coasting’ is possible on this bike when going down hills. Or is it like a fixie bike where you have to keep pedaling? Thank you

  33. Alistair Stewart January 11, 2021 @ 11:25 pm

    very useful review, thankyou

  34. Got Kalkhoff endeavour! Crank motor Impulse evo RS belt drive 625 w got Rutland cycles last demo model for 2.5k. Solid.
In eco drive mode it reads over 100 miles, in ultra boost mode its around 35 miles only need ultra boost when very steep hill.
Its got front suspension, rack with integrated lights.
Only thing i spent extra on was suspension seat post and thicker wider seat. Had got 2 year guarantee service package.
Best buy. Thinking of getting a cargo e bike and getting rid of one of 2 car! Seriously worth it.

  35. I am living in a hilly town in the UK (Malvern) and now, as my knees got really bad after trauma, I am looking for an electric bike too. It made me giggle when you talked about cycling through the snow. I live in the UK for over 16 years and only experienced snow like 3 times :))))

  36. Just bought one total shit sent It back full refund battery kept saying error… 1795.. bought a bike from Halford fir 2k bloody brilliant

  37. i got one and the range is so bad i gave up on it .when the battery runs our its so hard to peddle total waste of money

  38. Demilade Aworinde January 11, 2021 @ 11:34 pm

    Great review!

  39. Changing from low to high assist and vice versa on the "Sport" involves bending down and groping for the small press button changer, – which is hidden by the crossbar, and can prove very dangerous in traffic, – BEWARE!!! 拢300 each too, and if you’re going more than 20 miles, you’ll most likely need a spare – and I’m not joking. When the courier delivered my second battery, he said," Another faulty battery replacement? – We’re getting these all the time!" – His words, not mine – but I agree, they are not reliable! Another bad thing is you can raise the seat – but not the handlebars! – Pure stupidity. Cheers! Tony.

  40. Had our two G-Techs for about 3 years now, 拢1,080 each. The battery is supposed to get 30 miles out of a charge, We get about 10 miles and that is when the weather is fairly warm. In winter if we get 8 miles we are lucky.

  41. Channel Everything January 11, 2021 @ 11:34 pm

Can you do an updated one now please

  42. How much did you pay for it ? Would you sell it , how much ?

  43. Hey. I just searched for ebikes and your video was first that came up. Hope you鈥檙e well, thanks for the video.

  44. A pretty comprehensive analysis of this bike. There are many more to choose from now than when the G-tech first appeared on the market. It seems to have held up well to the challenges of your commute – but we would have liked to know whether your commute involved steep hills – or was it just a flat cruise? Good presentation clarity. One criticism: you do come across as vain on this video, with what appears to be much video cutting, in order to display yourself in the most attractive light? It was a distraction. This is a bike review – not a model shoot. It’s about the bike. But I guess all young men are vain. You’ll grow more confident when you get past 40.

  45. What did you do in the war?

  46. 10 mile commute,, bahahahahah ,, that just gets me out of my drive way

  47. Good video tho thumbs up

  48. I am falling in love with the Ebike l recently bought. Mine is very different to yours but for sure l have to expect in time battery will decrease in performance. Amazing mean of transport anyway

  49. best hybrid e bike for under 拢1000??

  50. Hey – fantastic review, thanks a lot – just planning to but this one for myself:) Also have 5 miles to work 馃槈 I see you have mudguards on it but I didn’t see those a standard equipment for this bike? Did you order them separately?
BTW – I found this completely randomly and bum – Polish guy in the UK 馃檪 All the best for you, subscribing to your channel as well!
