Great explanation of balanced vs unbalanced – thanks!. I have a semi-related question: I have a Scarlett Solo and use it to connect my guitar to my PC for use with Amplitube 4. I am getting tired of having to use headphones while playing (I rarely record – I just like to play using the amp variety and options in Amplitube). I would like to know if I can use studio monitors while playing (BTW – I do not play loud – usually…. ;). Can I use monitors (instead of headphones) and if so, are there any you recommend (under $300 for the pair)? Thanks!
At the moment I only have two TS 1/4 inch cables (unbalanced) which i used to connect my yamaha hs5 to my scarlett 2i2. They work fine, but am i damaging my interface/monitors by using these unbalanced cables instead of the balanced ones?

I have a question I ordered 2 krk rokit 5 G4 speakers separately on Amazon and two XLR cables for both the speakers I have the scarlett 2i2 and my question is how do I find out which speakers and cables go with each other like if I have the right speaker on the left side and the left on the right side how do I tell which is which

Please help me out with this: I have speakers with RCA connections, and the only cables I can find online are: TS (unbalanced with only 1 stripe) to RCA. Are these the ones I need? because from what I understood it can cause interference but I don’t see any other option!

Is it okay to use the focusrite trs out to 3.5 or RCA in of my speaker? my speaker only have those 2 sadly
Is there a way to mute the sound on the speakers when using headphones on the focusrite without having to reach onto the back of the speakers which is a hassle for me. both the power and volume control are at the back of the speakers.

I’m really struggling. I need help setting up KRK 5 gen 4 with focusrite and cakewalk. And I need a recommendation for microphones and the cables for connecting. Geez I have 5 separate videos going trying to set up each device. I feel stupid.
