my $440 ebike has basically all the same feature but it has front suspension making it better for offroad but also has a proper throttle so no its not worth $2000

For the price of that bike, you could buy a moped which is cheaper and you can lock it up and not have to carry it through an elevator. The moped also will go faster than that bike and the moped will last longer.
Watching casey’s old videos reminds of me how normal the world was before the pandemic and how I didn’t appreciate it enough.
It’s only got 20-mile range and tops @ 20mph. That’s way too weak for California. We’re way more spread out. I need something that can do on/off-road, get about 35 miles of range, and get up to about 40 mph.
