  1. Has it got suspension?

  2. Thanks for these vids. I have just ordered one! I’m male, 55, and I know it’s a woman’s style but there isn’t a similar style gents ebike at this price. I got the idea having seen people riding around in hot weather without apparent discomfort. You can rent them in places like Majorca.

  3. Hello, great videos. Are you and your wife still happy with the bike? I need a bike that will help me pull my dogs in a pet trailer. Would this be powerful enough going uphill easily with a trailer?

  4. Did your wife get one of these bikes in the end ? If not , is your friend still happy with this bike ? I’m looking to buy a comfortable
e bike .. would you say that this is a comfortable bike to have , appreciate any info thanks .

  5. Picked my bike up today. I鈥檓 a 57 year old male with bad knees so needed a step through (mint green)
Absolutely awesome thank you for these videos 馃憤

  6. Been thinking about a Ebike since using a friends STELLA eBike in Holland, although its very flat there, I immediately felt the benefit of that assist when you need it. The present bike I have is a Giant , which is quite heavy and I being almost 78, we are not very good together anymore, so I will now succumb to the inevitable.

Love the Video and I am now convinced that this is the one I will go for, so thank you

Hi, I’m trying to work out whether it can take a bike trailer and can’t find any detail about the hub hitch? Says Shimano gears and looking like an internal gear hub but is there any way to work out what kind/size of axle for brief journeys with a trailer? Thanks!

  8. I picked up my Carrera vengeance e-spec 8 weeks ago, absolutely love it. I’ve cycled it more in last 8 weeks than I’ve cycled in the last 6 years. My wife has been looking at the Pendleton e-bike and after watching your video will order her new bike in the spring. It will be great to go out on runs together. We live at the top of the highest hill in town and quite frankly its embarrassing having to push our "old" bikes the last quarter mile馃槱. Honestly, I don’t understand why anyone would spend 拢1000 on a bike without electric assist, it’s the future. Great video馃憤. Thanks.

  9. Hiya, thanks for the fantastic vid, so helpful!!

This bike comes in 2 frame sizes 17 and 19 on halfords website, do you think that the 17" frame would be suitable for a 5ft2/5ft3 female? The height chart says 5ft2 to 5ft10 for the 17" frame, but I’m unsure and would be interested in your expert opinion.

    Many thanks 馃檪

  10. Great video, thank you. Im thinking of getting an electric bike because of an on going knee problem. You have helped to make up my mind. The tyres look thin, are they regular or the non-puncture type?

  11. I bought a Haibike Sduro 1.0 with a yamaha mid drive motor – its brilliant

Are panniers or similar available for trips to the shop?

  13. gbwildlife uk May 8, 2021 @ 1:12 am

And when you’ve finished all your research get it in your head to ride the fucking thing on the road, not the footpaths and pavement you twat.

  14. Nice review. Anyone knows how it handles proper hills? I live in a hilly area and need a proper push!!

There is not a single permutation of settings that will fix the spongey brakes on my girlfriend’s Somerby eBike. I have spent all day trying every possible configuration and yet somehow the brakes are now worse than when I started. How that is possible I will never know. Even when the pads are set firm against the rim the brake lever will travel all the way to the handlebar with ease. Fuck me.

  16. Would the 19inch frame be OK for someone 5ft 10in with 33 inside leg?

  17. Do you think this bike is still relevant in terms of quality/price at the moment? Girlfriend is very tempted to purchase one

  18. Thanks for the video great job, i would like to ask, as a 72-year-old .when and if the battery runs flat whilst your out on the bike, how heavy pain is it to ride it home, say for instance you have extended your ride and your 10 miles from home. The reason i am asking is that I ride about 15 miles roundtrip 3 times a week, and assumed these bikes have a lot more weight to them. Also, i stop to take quite a lot of photo,s is there a prob with the stopping and starting,

Nice detailed review. How many real life miles per charge were you getting?

  20. Addictedtobleeps May 8, 2021 @ 1:33 am

Great video. Finally a comprehensive review on how these things work. Thanks 馃檪

How do you turn off the battery manually, Ive pressed the button but the light is still on.

  22. Sue Marhsall May 8, 2021 @ 1:36 am

What is the walk button underneath the power for?

  23. Margaret Dobbs May 8, 2021 @ 1:37 am

Thank you, really helpful in choosing which bike to go for

Thanks for these videos.聽聽There was nothing in the booklet provided by Halfords聽to explain how to use the battery alongside the gears (being a complete聽novice I need to know).聽 聽I’ve just been out on mine and I stopped at the bottom of a hill then couldn’t get going again despite being on battery control and you explained that the wheel needs to do a couple of turns before it detects anything.聽 Ended up pushing my electric bike up the hill which was pretty embarrassing!!聽 There are a lot of hills in Lancashire too and 聽I am聽SO envious of all the cycling tracks you appear to have in Devon.聽 Learning to ride a bike in traffic is quite daunting.

  26. Glad you enjoyed it but you must know this bike is the absolute rock-bottom entry point for ebikes. If you are impressed with this then you haven’t really compared it with anything else on the market. The price of a decent ebike starts around the 拢1500 mark, it’s a false economy to get anything much cheaper, a reliable motor, battery and gearset are essential.

  27. hi
quick question if you can help, thinking of this bike for wife, she has not ridden one since childhood, do you think it would be suitable to re learn on, and do you have to use the gears if just using electric assist if your not putting any effort in yourself
    regards
    kev

  28. I have this bike and it’s fab! you did miss off one thing though that I love about this bike! It has walk assist as well! Just under the control panel is a button and if you have to walk with the bike you can hold that button it will power the bike to help you walk along with it! I’m actually selling mine and came across your video as had a buyer asking me about it I’ve sent him a link to both of your vids on it! It really is an awesome bike and I’ll definitely be sad to see it go!

  29. Peter MacLennan May 8, 2021 @ 1:46 am

Loved the video. How do you rate this bike vs Gtech City Lowstep?

  30. Hi all. Got his bike for the wife. Can anyone tell me the correct way to charge the battery. The light is green on the charger. Halford never gave my wife the instructions. The light is green on the battery. Does the battery need turned off to charge…
