Sparta/Batavus ebike convertion to standard battery/controller

On this video I show you how to replace the battery pack and rework the full electronic system to avoid to buy the official battery pack from the original brand. The full cost of the rework is around 200€, against the 500€ of the origial battery pack duplicating the range with our rework.

    Hola David, I have a Sparta Ion LS with a bad battery. Can I also just replace the original green batteries and keep the original sofware/controller or is the software on the controller not allowing this?

    Hi David, did you found out how to solve the error E007? I have the same error on my bike but I’m not using the throttle, so my motor doesn’t work. I’m only using a PAS sensor.
    Any help is welcome. I checked the hall sensors and they are working, also when I connect the green settings cables the wheel spins. Any suggestions?

    hola david, el controlador que usaste finalmente es el de 350w a 24v o 250w a 24v ???? quisiera saber cual es el que entra en la bici y una cosa mas en los diseños que me enviaste de 3d no esta el de la estructura donde se ponen las baterias podrias enviarmelo tambien porfa mil gracias por tu aporte amor al canal !!!

    May i have just two questions:is there any possibility to use li-ion battery pack with an old controller pbc (inside the wheel) and original monitor?
    Wha didn’t you build 36v battery (the motor seems good enough for that)?

  11. You can even do it for under € 100,- if you use the original NiMh batteries. Often these are OK and only the circuitboard is faulty. Just take the + 24 volt from the fuseholder to circumvent the electronics.

    can you show us how to open the battery? and how we can remove the cells from the original battery? I tried and they are stuck

  13. Error 007 is about the number of magnet pairs in the motor. You have to configure that manually on the display.

    translate this page and google more about the subject.

    Once you set the correct number of pairs of magnets, your motor will work way more efficiently and smooter. Right now seems like you are running sensorless (without the hall sensors) because the controller does not know how many pairs of magnets your motor has>

  16. Can this motor take 75v 50A or 60A? I am willing to get this motor to test how much power it can take just for fun. They are super cheap here in Poland.
