Electric bike conversion kits don’t get nearly as much attention as perhaps they should. Do you have an older bike needing a new lease on life? Any recent or lingering injuries making cycling harder than it used to be? Do you want to keep up with friends on their e-bikes, but don’t want a second bike in the garage? Enter Swytch with their electric bike conversion kit.

Swytch are a UK-based company out on a mission to provide a versatile and lightweight retrofit system to upgrade classic bikes to the e-bike world. Their conversion kit system boasts an easy DIY experience that can give your older bike a new second life.

Our overall experience with the Swytch was a positive one on both the install and performance sides. We think Swytch has come up with a kit that will make most anybody looking to convert their current bike to an e-bike happy.

¿Como puedo saber si para mi sencilla bicicleta de montaña la puedo adaptar?, por favor indíquenme, gracias.

  3. I fitted Swytch kit to my Thorn tandem it worked surprisingly well considering weight of the tandem plus luggage and two people but ultimately I sold the kit and tandem separately and purchased a Moustache Samedi ebike tandem which is a dedicated and far superior option although a lot more expensive .

  4. Could be wrong I often am, but don’t think there’s going to be much of a market in the states

  5. Thank you very much for a very detailed review I just pre ordered mine hope I can manage to install it. Thanks again.

  6. I was trying to find what made that squeaking sound in my home, but no luck! I paused the video to do an intensive search, but …? The sound reappeared when I restarted your video! There are some birds in your surrounding! Apparently I’m not used to natural sounds any more! HoHoHooooo

  8. "If you want to use it on a public highway, you will actually need to register the e-bike with the DVLA, plus you’ll need a driving licence, insurance and to wear a helmet like you would on a motorbike or moped."
