Ok, so, maybe riding these trails was not such a great Idea with the e-bikes. Batteries run low and some of us can’t manage the power consumption putting themselves in the very dangerous situation of running out of battery power on a trail known for it’s brutal and long climbs. Watch and see what happens when an e-bike runs out of power.

Am I the only one who feels smug about an ebike running out of juice somewhere in the hills of welvanpas. Schadenfreude!

  5. I’d hate to be a hiker or non-Electrc bike with these guys blasting down the trail.
Not once it the video to they honk a horn or other way to warn other people that they are coming thru.
I’ll stick with regular pedal power. Over 15,000 miles so far and dozens of mountain passes climbed, no motor needed.

  6. Oh thats terrible. We should go back to horse and buggy as well. horse doesnt run out of gas either.

The batteries do even better now….and you can carry multiple batteries.

  9. Are ebikes becoming a thing? I mean, I haven’t even made the jump to electronic shifting yet.

  10. If an E-bike runs out of power, get a more positive attitude: LEG DAY!

That kind of riding ?….of course it eats the battery. I would say that it’s still impressive.
