This is my test & review of a DIY project that includes the mighty Bafang BBSHD mid drive motor KIT and a Trek Marlin 7 bike. This mid motor is capable of delivering a constant 1000W power while peak output goes beyond 1500W and releases a monster torque of 160Nm!

  1. Does the bike have to have gears? Could i buy this kit and put it on a regular cruiser bike with no gears? Thanks

  2. Great video and explanations.im looking at this option for my girlfriend’s bike on Amazon but I’m a little unsure of what the 44T & 46T meanings are.any help is appreciated.👍🏻

  3. doesn’t work with Marin San Quentin!

  6. Yup, that’s a bike with a HD hanging on it. What do you do with it other than let it sit in the garage when it rains?

Can you please tell me what angle on the chain did you end after installing it? I have 32T front now, thinking about conversion on my cube analog, but increasing front crank to 42T will increase offset even more… And what gear do you use in the front? It does not look like lekkie

  8. Is your battery pack 72V? I can only find it in 52 V variant. Thx!

  11. the link of the kit doesn’t work, do you have an updated link to use?

  12. i have the same system and its got good torque 160 newton metres of torque and it’ll pump out a Peak at 1500 watts 60 kilometres an hour with no peddling 42 tooth lekkie bling ring disc in the front and a 9-speed in the back. i really love my bafang motor but i need to make it faster and i will or i will get the 3000watt cyclone kit its really cheap price right now about 500 hundred Canadian dollars. 👍🇨🇦

  13. Cât te-a costat kitul?

  14. Thank you sir.

  15. I have Bafang 48v 750w + 20Ah batery. Max speed 46km/h, 1 charge 46-50km without pedaling 🙂 i make 1500km, i was in two accidents, 1 time i was beated by car, another time i hited another bike – broken my hand.

  26. How is the visibility of this display under the sunlight?

  27. I have a question. I’m looking to get the Bafang G510 1000w mid drive motor with 7 speed gears and I have been told that this particular motor is almost too strong for regular bike chains. Have you run into issues with chain stretch or breakage on this setup?

  28. What is the frame size? M? L?

  29. Nice bike!. I have the same bike and motor and I did my build in Nov of 2017. That motor is a beast and is still working great. You are gonna love it. I just built a new 52v 34 amp Hour battery in a triangle pack to be able to have crazy range. I have been up to 42 MHP while pedaling although it gets pretty sketcy at those speeds but WHAT A RUSH! Enjoy

  30. I doubt that the battery wouldn’t be fitted on my trek Marlin 5 15.5”frame (2019 model). Could you please let me know your frame size?

  31. What amount of power in waats would be enough for steep hills with a 93kg man? Hills are 10km long

  32. envioli variable speed hub would be nice with this.

  33. What size Trek Marlin 7 is your bike?

  34. Hi, I’m planning to install a bbshd on a trek marlin 7 as well, did you install a thumb throttle or twist throttle? I’d love to know which you went with and how you find it works with the trigger gear shifters, thanks

  35. forgive my ignorance, how much is a bike like this worth 2nd hand ? ,im in Australia

  36. Where did you buy the 72v battery?

  37. How did you install the brake level, did you remove the original ?

  38. The AliExpress ad says 1000w however your title says 1500w. Which is it?

  39. Nu stiu de ce dar am impresia ca esti Român 😂 dupa accent si peisaj.
Tare bicla si motoru insa cable management e cam naspa.
