Quick answer: Yes it is worth it if you can find one? I doubt you can find this bike for $399 anymore. Prices on ebikes are slowly going up.
It seems Amazon no longer sells the Hyper Eride mountain bike. If you can find one at Walmart, good luck. The price has been set back to normal at $598 USD. Still not bad for an Ebikes nowadays.

Duh u change the front wheel then you can put disk breaks. Not very smart r u.
One horsepower is 750 watts, that’s it. 250 watts is 1/3 rd horsepower. Your Ninja blender at home is 1700 watts, toaster 700 watts. My drill is 500 watts. With 250 watts do not go down a hill, you will walk back up.
How fast does it go?

a cheap beach cruiser and elec kit from amazon is a cheap option.
If it ever goes back down to that price, it’s a good deal. It needs disc brake upgrade, upgrade the shifter, and add a throttle. Or leave as is for guests.
This would be helpful for those with weaker knees and getting older but still want to go out and do some exercise. Nice review.

I bought my wife a radwagon, then converted an old, 94, mongoose with a voilamart kit, 1000w, then the stepson wanted to convert his using a used bafang 350w front wheel. cost of conversions was under $400 for mine and under $300 for stepsons. All have throttle assist w/pedal assist.
Cheap goods, low quality go together!
$12 adapter bracket to install front disk brake, will need to change the front wheel but well worth it.
I wonder if people riding this bike on High speed should probably invest in a motorcycle helmut for better head protection when experiencing an incident at high speed.

Can you lock the motor to an off position, thus helping prevent bike theft or a bike grab and go? or does the key stop battery removal?
Absolute garbage bike
This would be the one I would get if I didn’t see the e-bike I want on Amazon. It has a lot more on it. Among other things, it has disc breaks and it can fold. It’s six hundred and some dollars but that’s to be expected since it has more features on it.

Yeah your gonna have to pay near 1,000 to get a stronger motor, good controls, suspension and breaks. Good grocery getter around town.

Do you think we can use a bike carrier to put this bike behind a car ? (Because the triangle is not straight angled). In my case a Rav4 with a tow hitch.
I have a Rad rover eBike I love it. I got it because I have bad knees and getting older I like the power assist for going up grades and leisure riding. I think I might get one of these Walmart bikes for my grandkids.
