Hello, I’m a scooterist. Current fleet: 2 1984 Honda Gyros (49cc 2 cycles), 2005 Yamaha Majesty (400cc 4 cycle), and 2008 Yamaha Morphous (250cc 4 cycle).
(Oh, I also have an electrified Worksman Industrial Tricycle….best tricycle in the world, made in New York City…..video elsewhere here on my channel. Awesome electric conversion by way of Clean Republic….google them….another quality oriented company).
I have owned many scooters and mopeds in my (ahem) many years on this planet.
I test rode this scooter yesterday.
Let me say, this is the Tesla of scooters. Touch screen display, information/diagnostics in the cloud, and app to access it.
The future is electric, and I have been waiting, rather impatiently, for electric 2 wheeled vehicles to appear.
For a forerunner in the field, and the debut product for this company, this did not feel like a "beta".
Everything worked flawlessly/seamlessly. Software, and hardware. "Fit and finish" was superb.
And, as a loooooong term scooterist, obviously hardware is paramount. And this has a rock-solid feel (one piece aluminum frame), huge front wheel, disc brakes, single front/dual back shocks. (I could go on, but youtube probably won’t let me.)
And handled with authority.
I’m getting one.
My Gyros are great.(and unique) for around town, but I need something more solid and reliable, for that kind of function.
And this is it. I believe, for me.
You need to know what you will use it for. It won’t do all things for all people. For longer, and highway transportation, I have my larger scooters.
Consider the (lack of) maintenance and operating costs for this electric scooter. Think about that a while.
And, it is produced, and much of it manufactured (more so in the future), in Ann Arbor Michigan. Think about that, too, for a while.
