Hi! Thanks for checking out one more project of mine. Hope you will like this one as much as I did.

I’ve been planning this project for quite some time and now that I have it finally finished I am stoked to be able to share the details of how I built it and how it performs.

Above I have placed the links for every part (pretty much) that has been used for the build. The main star of the show being the 1500W E-bike conversion kit, which is one of the best purchases I have made in a long time. I chose the 26″ model but there are plenty of wheel sizes for you to choose from. For now, I could not source a better deal than this one.

The kit arrives with loads of parts, including the following:

• Powerful 1500W rear hub motor laced on to a heavy-duty MTX39 rim
• 18 Mosfet square wave controller
• LCD display
• Throttle with lock and key
• Brake levers with power cut-off switches
• Pedal assist sensor
• Maxxis tyre
• 160 mm brake disc rotor
• Ergonomic grips
• Controller mounts, cables, zip ties, etc.

If you are shopping for the first time on Aliexpress, make sure to get my $24 in coupons for your first purchase!

This project turned out to be a blast. It did take me a while to do properly but I could not be more happy the way it turned out. The range can reach up to 100km (62 miles) while pedaling and around 50km on motor alone at top speed (at least that’s what the app shows – seems to be accurate).

It can easily reach 65km/h (40mph). The pedal assist is great for saving battery and helping the bike accelerate even faster. There are many programmable options on the LCD itself, and the best part is the Bluetooth connectivity of the BMS. Using the app the battery can be turned on and off. It also provides temperature, range, current, cell group voltage and lots of variable parameters.

Poor weather is not the best companion in giving the bike a long-term test but I will make sure to keep my judgement on this build updated.

Hope you found this project interesting and perhaps learned something new. Please consider subscribing for more upcoming videos. As I always I more than happy to help you out if you consider building this project yourself, so feel free to reach out to me with any questions.

  1. you know how to do the job – only disadvantage is the higher energy consumption of the direct drive hub motor compared to the geared mid drive ( bbs hd).
Thats my experience . The 14s 10 p batterie with Samsung 35E Cells takes me about 130 km when using my bbs hd.

  2. What was the total Cost of the build?

  3. That’s awesome man, be safe on the streets

  31. If that was me, i was googling diy battery near the two sets which are doomed already.

  32. Yes now wait for the spokes to snap under the stress of the hub. I had to replace all my Ali with Stainless Steel. Oh, and wait until you get a puncture. Try taking that lump of a wheel out. What a joke. Get a eScooter.

  33. 真是太厲害了!

  34. What are the insulation rings for ?
    Spacing, heat dissipation ?
    Beautiful battery 👍

  38. what i love about these DIY builds is the shit soldering and the use of jubilee clips if you are using electrical lugs hire the proper took to crimp them FFS if you want to clamp something get a proper clamp do as impedence test LION batterys explode if they aint balanced correctly id never put a home made battery between my legs unless id tested it properly my nuts are that important to me 1500 w makes a fuck big bang dude

  40. I am very impressed to see your bike made. I want to convert my bicycle to electric bike by following the procedure you have shown. But the biggest drawback is that such gadgets are very rare in our country.
At last I say it’s just amazing super cycle. Thanks a lot Bro. Wish you good luck. Love from Bangladesh.

  41. Damn that was cool! Shame such an ebike would get me into jail in Germany

    Your such an Amazing Sir
    God Bless us all

  43. super gefilmt…und ohne Gequatsche 😉

  44. Is the frame aluminum? How many holes can you safely drill do you think without compromising structural strength? Thanks – awesome video with perfect edits.

  45. Well, that was an utterly stupid project. Forget the legality (anything over 25kmh has to be licensed), it’s stupidly unsafe. Few commercial bicycles and their brakes are built to withstand speeds and stresses over 40-50kmh.
