After cutting zip ties melt the end with a lighter it will take the sharp edges off.
Its nice to have that all you need tool they give you, $10 bucks on eBay everything even for nuts not just Allen keys they have back pegs for the back goes right on it as your bolt

Coke light has aspartam rather than sugar. If you leave it in the sunlight the aspartam heats up and becomes poisonous. Ask the soldiers who returned from Afaganistan who had brain damage from drinking Coke Light after it heated in the store tents. Aspartam made by Monsanto is fukin poisonous.

I’ve converted every ATV I’ve ever owned from thumb throttle to twist. Thumb throttles cause major cramps when you are constantly feathering the throttle on trails. On the grips, I would have just cut them off. It’s not like you’re reusing them. Don’t worry about the shift cable too much. It’s not like a throttle or brake cable that is moving often.
I also just ordered a 3KW hub motor for my Mongoose Fireball Dirt jumper. I’m only going to run it at 1500W until I can save up for a bigger 72V battery. Sadly I could have bought a lightly used dual sport motorcycle for the price I’ll have into the E-bike when it’s done($1K bike, $500 kit and >$700 for the battery I want).

take a bic and put a some heat to the ends of the wire ties you just cut then you want poke holes in yourself our slice yourself wide open every time I get a job were somebody has used a bunch of wire ties I know at some point I will slice myself open no matter what I do i will miss melting one and and that’s the one that will get me

If you have an air compressor handy, they work great for popping off old grips. just force the air in like you did the alcohol.

Nice job on the twist throttle. I always use isopropyl alcohol for removing and installing grips works like a charm. If you have an extra short piece of gear cable housing that would be ideal clamped in the rear rack seat stay mount.
