Almost all of us know the feeling of pain and anguish one gets when a screw or nut gets stripped from over-tightening. Or the concern that a part may not be tight enough and cause damage or make something dangerous to use. If you’ve never heard of a torque wrench, you’re in the majority.
Most everyday people do not know what a torque wrench is, or that such a cool device exists. I just learned about them myself this last year and found that it’s a tool that can really help to build a lot of confidence with the maintenance and repair of stuff like electric bikes or other mechanical stuff around the house. Many Ebikes are made with a lot of metals that can take a lot stress, but a delicate nut, bolt, or screw can easily be damaged by anyone who uses just a little more pressure than what it can handle
In this video, I will be showing you the Lexivon torque wrenches that I use to make sure I am tightening everything to the recommended torque settings.
It’s a fairly easy tool to use and works with most sockets sets that many household toolboxes carry.

I literally ordered a torque wrench last night 😂😂😂 great video!!!

  5. The torque wrench is the tool virtually no one else in the ebike YouTube world really talks about. Lectric puts the torque specs in the owner’s manual PDF for a reason.
Nice necessary tool breakdown too. 👍

  10. Great review and demo usage, these torque wrenches look amazing. I was only looking into just buying a rachet to keep on hand, and I also wasn’t too sure about the torque wrenches & which sizes I would need to use that would be the best multi-fit option for everything on the bike.
Just signed up for the newsletter, and looking forward to more Lectric XP reviews & products

Hey I’m sending a message for help put about my ebike build. I put a 1 minute video up showing how I’m not getting the right amount of volts out of my bms and when I plug into my controller the volts drop down to 0 or 1 volt. Of you could watch the video and possibly help me out with some advice I would GREATLY appreciate it!
