Bikes for power legs, ebikes for…🐌
Took my steed out for it’s 1st proper ride yesterday and found a lot of hate for ebikes and ebikers. From ‘Cheat!’ to ‘I thought you’d be faster up there with your motor!’ and a lot of people generally being cnuts and being annoyed I passed them or trying to keep up and generally being unhappy. It’s going to be a while before more people start adopting ebikes and hopefully the racing will kick start that. I managed 2 laps, about 30miles on a single battery, had more fun, did more biking and got more out of my ride than the wankers huffing and puffing their way up the hill being generally miserable. Anyway, like Rob W says, I don’t give a fcuk because everyone will be on them in 5 years, I think sooner. Does anyone still ride 26"?
Wonder if they get checked for deristriction.
A race with E-Bikes?😂😂
One thing that would be great to know is what bikes there actually riding as some of the team names dont actually say what bike there on.
When the shots of the riders come up it should be their name, their team and the bike their riding.
Also some more bike checks would be cool and also a bit more on their battery management if there is any and what do teams do like the rocky mountain if you can’t easily take your battery out.
Stop trying to justify ebike junk. Get rid of it

Personally, I find it pointless. Bike racing shouldn’t involve motors and bunch of batteries…
E-bikes are fantastic climbing machines and I think the race format needs to reflect that. More power stages!!
just carrying batteries downhill… dumb. ebikes ok but downhill with batteries is dumb.
Awesome stuff… but more *up-hill* technical stuff in future please. After all, up hill is kind of the point of the e-bike, no?

Love the idea of a power stage and rewarding riders for being well rounded and strong technical climbers. Seems like EWS is hitting on a format that really showcases ebikes’ unique qualities, very promising!

25kph is way to slow and potentially dangerous. Most eMTB are designed to travel 32kph preserving the motor and battery.
Have to be negative unfortunately, always look forward to highlights but these are terrible including the horrible music drowning out everything, hope the proper bike coverage is better than this.
