  1. Not sure if you took into account the half-life of lactic acid and of creatine phosphate for this test. I’m only at the first test, the climbing test. But if you don’t wait for at least half an hour between the runs, this could disturb the tests easily. In that regard the 10% deviation of the Shimano isn’t actually that bad. It could actually even be quicker than the Yamaha!
Although considering the half-lives, the Bosch definitely is the quickest. Tested as the last one and the quickest of them all!

  2. Pedal kickback among carbon got to do a lot with ep8 and Bosch rattle. I guess in some ebikes the noise will be not annoying at all

What motor would you choose for 2021?

  4. How do you forget the most used and most popular motor of all time the Bafang. 🤔

  5. Brian Wheeldon May 17, 2021 @ 12:55 am

And they call this biking in 2021… ahh well.

  6. i dont understand why bosch is still making the uglyest displays that looks like an old NOKIA 3210 brose has also swapped out the nice color tft displays with the NOKIA 3210 LOOK i have specialized vado 5.0 6.0 and a brand new 3.0 my new 3.0 has this ugly display or NOKIA 3210 LOOK

  7. How much battery usage each use.

  8. You forgot the Bafang motor, I see them everywhere.

  9. Like what you are doing . BUT ! You are the BIG variable – – your legs are not a full charge for each test …..

Do eBike motors have a service schedule in order to maintainthe warranty as per forks & shocks

  11. Wheres the bafang ultra ? . It would kick all these motors arses . I have a bbshd and it would destroy all these expensive junk . Esp with a 3000w controller .

  12. Good morning Rob I have a 2018 levo expert and I’m looking to upgrade the suspension any recommendations. Also how can I get more travel shock the stock is 135mm. Thanks for your help cheers!!

da eff cares about look if it gets the job done? Y’all into bikes or cosmetics? Thanks for the great video

  14. You tested a lot of motors but why don’t you test the Oli Sport e-bike motor? It is made from an Italian company and adopted in some Italian e-mtb as for example the Olympia Karbo. Check this bike because it has a 900watt battery and the motor is very performing, EU compliant, but very powerful, it reach an astonishing 400% of assistance more than the best Bosch motor and it is really really aggressive

  15. 21 seconds with a power boost e-bike and this cat is panting like Rosie O’Donnell at a Vegas buffet

    I have a Shimano motor
Tried the Bosch and Yamaha as well and the Shimano just feels the most organic!
The feel on the Yamaha was alright, but what I really disliked about the Bosch was that with every gear shift, there was this half-second delay where the power would cut off completely and the motor had to “decide” how much torque to give…
It was extremely odd and really took me out of my riding flow, especially on uphill sections….
Whereas with the Shimano I felt like a more athlectic normal cyclist, with the Bosch you were rudely reminded of your own unfitness every time you shifted gears at an incline when the power would cut out for that half second…

  17. Bosch is the winner for me if for no other reason for its longevity reliability, and repairability.

Not the bike mate s you..after 4 times up the hill…
Cannot be the same than the first…😜😂👍

Panasonic GX Ultimate is missing, beeing one of the best. Good video still, thanks.

  21. I never understood how tf do people ride with their seat post up in their junk. Can’t maneuver the body as well. What if you need your arse over the back tire? Either get a little surprise in your rear from the seat or eat it over the handlebars. :/ can someone explain?

  22. Thaboon Isback May 17, 2021 @ 1:16 am

I can’t believe you did not include the 120nm TQ motor, that Motor is in the new Flyon line.. and the new Nox bikes do have the Brand new Sachs Motor with 110nm.

  23. Just a minute in, and you don’t include anything with a bafang 😩💨 that has probably the best controller customization.

  24. Bosch Cx

  25. My Bafang Ultra would put all of these ebikes too shame… it’s insane that Specialized would have a 10,000 3bike and put such a small motor inside. i understand the one size fit’s all idea behind ebikes so they are all standard, Internationally, but many people here in the states will not buy these ebikes for that purpose. It’s like having a 200,000 dollar Lamborghini and have it come equipped with a 4 cyl. ford Pinto engine. BTW my Ultra has over 160 N.M. of torque and 2,500 watts. You will not breathe hard at all going up any hill! No "Hike-A-Bike’ here in the States! We fly as fast going up the Hills as we do going down! You’re missing out on half the fun! Great Video! take care brother!

  26. Where’s the Bafang motors?

  27. It’s a shame the ep8 makes such annoying sounds on the descents.

  28. SidewayzE46 -MO May 17, 2021 @ 1:23 am

Shimano should stick to making fishing reels

  29. Yea, thank you. So none of those is great 🙁 Painful compromises wherever you look :-/

  30. and where is flyon motor? 🙂

  31. Specialized bikes are awesome but e-bikes are approaching costs (particularly specialized) of a car or expensive touring motorcycle.

  32. Paul Schneider May 17, 2021 @ 1:26 am

I have the Bosch CX with the 500WH. After nearly two years I rode about 4000 Miles or 6500 KM and I love it. The motor is still strong, I had no problems. Buying an E-Bike was the best decision ever, I have a car and a motorcycle, but the E-Bike is my number one commuting Vehicle.

  33. Where’s the Rocky Mountain, they use a Dyname 3.0 motor.

  34. does it help? he is just worn-out!

  35. I’ve never cared about „noise“.
    It’s a machine, a motor. Want no sound? Get a bio- bike🤷🏼‍♀️

  36. What about the Bafang M610. 1000W 160Nm

  37. Artur Klimek_PL May 17, 2021 @ 1:35 am

He’s getting weaker every run. Bad comparison

  38. Bafaang?

  39. Bafang BBS Series

  40. ammerudgrenda May 17, 2021 @ 1:37 am

  42. Gooddeal

  43. John Sheppard May 17, 2021 @ 1:39 am

  44. Andreas Reinecke May 17, 2021 @ 1:40 am

Fine video – what´s the manufacturer of the bike with the Bosch drive ?

  45. Let's make it happen TV May 17, 2021 @ 1:41 am

What mid drive would be the best for a ebike car and could you run two mid drives together?
