  12. Can you run an electric motor using just pedal power (no battery) or would any power generated from an electric field from a spinning magnet be not powerful enough to make any difference?

  17. im looking at cordless chainsaws do any of the 40v 60v or 80v chain saw baterries look adaptable to an ebike?

  23. I have 12" Archeer mini ebike 36v with 350 watts high speed motor. Which battery and controller you suggest that would give me range of 40 miles and would still fit in the case?

  24. You FAILED on the DIY bike. Successfully build the bike BEFORE you make the video. Disappointed with this video which makes it look like click bait. You made a DIY video which showed a FAILED build.

  29. I have the same kit but there is a problem with it the kit is just like yours but the motor does not spin in the correct way for a left side mount, I found this video has the same motor and mounting problems but was put on the right….. does not have the same sprocket kit?

  31. any specific recommendation for higher torque? I want to upgrade my kids’ bike to electric because she hates our huge hill up to her elementary school in the big city. all the kids bikes i’ve seen are very meh. the adult bikes are still a tiny bit too tall

  34. Great idea, damaged by over-simplification.
    1. Hoverboards mostly have 2x 350w motors (some are 2x 250w) 36v so don’t really need two for a starter "250w" ebike.
    2. Joining two batteries is dangerous unless both have just been charged to exactly the same voltage – say 42v
    3. You need to parallel connect individual cells, not just at the 36v point. Again, don’t mess with lithium batteries !
    4. Comments about the batteries very incomplete. Cheaper cells not designed for bike use only low drain -applications i.e. 2hrs+ laptop discharge. Stick with Hoverboard/scooter batteries/cells for ebike.
