  1. I am a commuter and wouldn’t buy this bike. I don’t want a derailleurs, I want bigger tires. I want a chain guard. I want hard panniers that lock. I want security features.

  2. WoW, the pice is insane! I will buy a Rad bike before I would by this one.

    Allfully expensive & allfully impressive
. . imagine if it had regenerative braking and charging.

  4. IMHO, any ebike that cost more then $2000 , should come with a MINIMUM, 48 volt/ 20 AH battery pack. To many companies are skimping on battery packs, because that is often the most expensive part of the system. Yeah, they will give you a bottle holder and a headlight and a horn, but in the end, many people will need a battery to get them up hills and farther then 10 miles distance.

If it gets stolen does it have GPS find your bike, cause it will be pricey an insurance for bicycle.

Just buy your dream bike with that money, and train your body

  6. Its very simple. We need a reputable company to manufacture and sell a reliable, good looking ebike for UNDER $2000 shipped that is offered in 3 frame sizes, 1000 watt nominal hub motor { or 500 watt nominal mid drive}  with a controller that allows the rider to hit 30 MPH and a 48 volt/20AH battery . If possible, some type of suspension would also be nice .  Ive been telling manufacturers this for years, but they just wont listen. They continually make these $5000 ebikes, with low battery A/H"S , that generally wont sell hi volume. Sondors made a ton of money by offering the 1st ebike for around $600…now the next step is  offering a BETTER ebike, with the attributes I listed, for under $2000. This should open up the ebike market to MANY more people .

  7. Make it $499, then I’ll think about it

  8. This price is rediculous its way to overpriced. Not even expensive just so overpriced. I mean does it have like 500 batteries on it wtf??!?!?!

  9. $5 K is reasonable. My S Works Roubaix custom build road bike cost more than twice as much and has no electric assist. Of course, it’s not my style of riding, but looks like a first class commuter bike to me.

  10. Anthony Shinnyo May 16, 2021 @ 1:25 am

I like the bike, but too expensive! Should cost around $3299 – $3599

  11. 5k don’t even have abs

  12. For those criticising the price of the bike – don’t buy one. I will not either, but I am happy they are being made because someone will buy them and that’s good for them. We have an 80 year old member in our club with a similar bike who has cycled every day for ever, and refuses to give up. He has a similar bike, just not Trek

The more manufacturers who develop them, the better, they will come down in price to the point by the time I am 80 I can afford one to keep cycling with my club

  13. worse…….some steals the dam thing…you need to design a start/stop disabler and a tracking device/ alarm that rings your phone if the bike is moving without being disarmed with a loud alarm so you can be on them in a second or I’ll NEVER buy one. I’m not loosing 5 grand to a thief…

  14. its nice to be rich.

  15. Trek is the most overpriced bike brand on the market. At least 90% os their bikes are made by Giant in Taiwan while the other 10% in Wisconsin. I had no idea the cost of living was so high in Wisconsin.

  16. Stanley Charles May 16, 2021 @ 1:33 am

$5k buys me a lifetime of uber rides or a decent used motorcycle. What a joke.

  17. Nathan Johnson May 16, 2021 @ 1:33 am

Supercommuter needs drop bars and the computer on the stem. Still, it’s pretty awesome. Crossrip is jut about perfect.

  18. Philippe Lievre May 16, 2021 @ 1:33 am

Cannot see the rear light she mentioned

  19. Interesting products. Annoying voice… too bad. And what justifies the prices?? Not enough concrete information…

  20. Great price. No Brasil 25mil😢😢😢

  21. While it might be a nice thing to have Trek frame expertise in the design of an E-Bike, for that price I’ll just buy a motorcycle.

  22. Gaetan Giroux May 16, 2021 @ 1:39 am

lady you talk too much… we just want to see bikes, not hear you talking.

  23. California Joe May 16, 2021 @ 1:41 am

great bike but 5k is … a joke.

  24. Steven Rosenthal May 16, 2021 @ 1:42 am

Does anyone know how to get a new front fender for the super commuter 8+?

  25. How can these ebikes be so expensive? I have seen some over 10k! most are in the range to buy a brand new top line motorbike/scooter! I mean you would think there is a lot more to building a motorbike inc global compliance costs etc.

  26. Bruno Fraussen May 16, 2021 @ 1:43 am

only for US? What a shame. I like this crossrip

  27. Purchase in India

  28. Do all arrogant people enjoy being arrogant?

  29. GridDownSurvival May 16, 2021 @ 1:45 am

Ive seen trek e-bikrs up close in person.. very nicely made with great fit and finish.. but the price will have to come down.. $5k is just way too much money

  30. Jaroslav Major May 16, 2021 @ 1:45 am

I like her BOSCH pronounciation – !Bash!

  31. but.. is it waterproof?

  32. Robert Smuggles May 16, 2021 @ 1:47 am

The design looks good but the price is too high. Hopefully another manufacturer will produce a similar bike for about $2500. Owning a bike like this would be a problem because when people find out how much it cost they would laugh at you. And you could not leave it anywhere without worrying about it being stolen. Unlike a car a bike like this cannot be realistically insured against theft. So, I’d be surprised if Trek sell any at this price.

  33. $5,000 is a bit steep but the idea is for people to get rid of their motor vehicles.
If you buy a car or motorcycle at this price you will pay a lot on maintenance and ownership.
Reasons why this is a good financial investment :
    1. No car payment or maintence.
    2. No insurance cost.
    3. No fuel cost.
    4. No registration cost.
    5. No parking cost.
    6. No gym membership needed.
    7. Less doctors visits since you are healthier/happier.

  34. Paintbrush 1962 May 16, 2021 @ 1:48 am

Could you imagine putting up with that voice after 8 hard hours at work?

  35. I will buy it when I win the lottery

  36. Just like all goods purchased with disposable income the market will determine the price, not the comments on youtube.

  37. Unum sed Leonem May 16, 2021 @ 1:52 am

A lovely bike, but a Kalkhof Impulse Evo RS SPEED would be more appropriate than a Bosch: a greater range, more power… Also, as good as integrated lights are, they preclude a use of a handlebar bag – and that’s a compromise too many.

  38. Joseph D Pep Zwarycz May 16, 2021 @ 1:55 am

The idea’s fantastic. The price is unfounded! What dual suspended mtbike can justify nothing more than fitting a battery & compact electric motor to charge/rob people of $4-5000!+!+!?? Ridiculous! :O I thought it may be a good cheap option for a disabled pensioner of 51yrs. I could never afford a fully sprung 500 watt machine!

  39. 5k for what 200 dollar bike 200 dollar battery pack and motor lmao no way

  40. DiGiTaLGrAvEDiGGA May 16, 2021 @ 1:59 am

digging the integration however selling price is way too high!!!

  41. Just like my car it senses when it gets darker and automatically turns on the light? Lady, you haven’t seen my car. Any day I can turn the light on myself is a miracle…

  42. nastythomashobbs May 16, 2021 @ 2:02 am

I love the way they sell the 28 MPH speed pedelec as a sweat free way to arrive at work. Riding 28 MPH pedaling is not sweat free. It is a workout. Throttle mode will not give you 28 MPH. Riding at 20 MPH takes effort as well as they want battery range. Maybe riding at 10 MPH on a flat road in Turbo mode on a mid drive will be sweat free on a cold day.

  43. Steven Rosenthal May 16, 2021 @ 2:03 am

It’s amazing. Just check the bolt on the very bottom it loosens up through time from the factory tightening. I tightened it squeak is gone. Bikes fine. I crank it on firmly it’s not coming off. Maybe use lock tight when you do it.

  44. Maybe the channel owner doesn’t know this, but Wii res it’s dealers to buy a minimum of 6 of these bikes at once to be able to sell them. You won’t find electric bikes in every Trek dealer because if this. I know my local LBS can’t move that many in a short period so they can’t let that sort of expensive inventory sit on the floor for a year while they try and discount them till they sell at zero profit.

  45. Beautiful Bike but I agree the price point is too high. I can afford one but I would consider it a poor investment. You can get just as capable electric bicycle for less. The price is a reflection of the Trek name and reputation.

  46. Jacobus Scheeres May 16, 2021 @ 2:05 am

sell, sell (take a breath) sell, sell

  47. entry level to get a good e-bike is 4,000.

  48. The price is ridiculous but I think the idea is you get that money back quickly in comparison to the running costs of a car.

  49. 5 Grand is more than double the price of what it is worth. So get real & thank you for helping China to soon make better ones for far less than this price… next.

  50. I don’t see it, $5000 over priced bike, GREEDY people.
