Trek Super Commuter+ 7 Video Review – $3.6k Stealthy Urban Electric Bike, 20 mph Bosch Performance

Trek Super Commuter+ 7 Video Review – $3.6k Stealthy Urban Electric Bike, 20 mph Bosch Performance The Trek Super Commuter+ 7 is a stealthy looking, sturdily built, feature-rich urban electric bicycle complete with tubular alloy fenders, premium integrated lights from Supernova, and powerful hydraulic disc brakes. Upgraded Shimano Deore 10-speed drivetrain with one-way clutch to reduce chain bounce, sleek proprietary derailleur guard protects the derailleur at racks, double-sided slap guard reduces noise. Paint-matched carbon fiber fork reduces weight and dampens vibration, inset Bosch PowerPack battery integration keeps weight low and center while reducing weight compared to PowerTube, five frame sizes for improved fit and ergonomics. Priced a bit higher because of the quality parts, dealer network, and Trek reputation, non-adjustable kickstand, lights are always on when the bike is powered up and walk mode is disabled, slower 2 amp charger vs. 4 amps on the 8S. 1. Thanks I am getting me one after this review, I am 6.3 looks stronger then the specialized.

  2. Wow!!! Maybe $2500. Tops! I built an electric bike with my brother. Hard tail mountain bike with hydraulic air cooled brakes and all XT components. He can ride with his girlfriend on it up hills in San Diego and the bike screams! He actually had to upgrade the brakes in order to eliminate brake fade! You can pick up a nice hard tail on CL for $1k, $700 for a great center mounted motor kit, and $600 for a really nice lithium phosphate battery. His bike has been going strong for over 3 years without issues.

  3. Again stop. Not super fast. All these bikes from large companies are limited to 28 miles an hour. This is honestly becoming a very big joke. There are companies out there producing bikes that are actually fast and actually have performance. Maybe someone would should start reviewing those.

  4. Interesting video until you mentioned the price. Now I’m just pissed that I can’t get my time back

  5. Hey 20 top speed makes it legal in most states. 0:30

  6. Easier to just drop the motor and get some fitness.

  7. I would love to see you change a flat as part of the reviews on these bikes.

  8. Sold my Honda scooter and just bought this one. Great for commuting and cruising. Very pleased.

  9. "in 2020, this list helped me decide for the best electric bike ** hope it helps you out too!"

  10. How about the frame is it carbon too?

Why do almost all hipsters talk like feminine beta males?
    Honest question…it’s off putting.

  13. I have had my super commuter+ 7 for about a month now and really am enjoying it. I commute sometimes to work but I mainly got it to ride recreationally in NYC. The build quality really is good and I have four local bike shops that service Trek. My only gripe I had with the bike was comfort, but since upgrading to a body float by Kinekt that’s no longer an issue. I viewed multiple reviews on EBR and chose Trek for their quality and convenience of service. A bike like this has allowed me to ride from the George Washington Bridge to Coney Island and back on a single charge (in Eco mode). I love this bike and recommend it!!

  14. holy i was subbed to this guy at 500 subs now he has almost 100k respect

  15. I like the looks of it

  16. I am buying one of these from my local Trek dealer. The sticker on the bike says it’s a class 3 max speed 28 mph?

  17. So how does one park such a bike, where if you can’t bring it up to your office, i would feel so worried all the time

Carbon fiber front forks on Ebikes are a scam. It hardly makes any difference in reducing vibration. I have the Stromer ST2 and the carbon forks give virtually no difference in vibration dampening than my other bikes. . Sure the weight difference on a analogue bike makes a difference but on an ebike get the suspension. Full suspension or at least front suspension with a seat suspension at min.

  19. Can i avail this in Pakistan ?

  23. this bloke sounds like a bum splitter

  24. What’s is sad about this treks is that they don’t include a throttle option. That’s the point of an ebike, mostly thottle on thay to work/school, pedeal more on the way back.

  25. Good thorough review. Now I need to decide 8plus or 7 plus.

  26. Love your posts!!! I was wondering if Trek’s Powerfly Police will be reviewed, looks like a great all rounder.

  27. I love the Stealthy look of the bike. 3.6k for it means it’ll never be parked outside with any type of lock.

  28. Even till today, I think this still is the best looking e-bike. They really designed the battery sections well.

  29. better than VanMoof s2 ?

  39. I can’t believe how expensive these e-bikes are. And is the only difference the front sprocket size? Could you put the larger sprocket on the slower bike and get the higher top speed, or is it electrically limited?

  40. Gary morgan LFC YNWA December 16, 2020 @ 10:18 pm

Do you still have to pedal with a electric Bicycle

  41. so its comfortable in rain riding fast? and what is the mileage?

  42. “Fender view” made me dizzy!!

  43. For that kind of money buy a veapa

  44. I just skipped throughout the talking part just so I can see you ride the bike just so I can see how fast it goes, cus I have questions and looking for answers thanks

  45. Thanks you for this video! Helped allot

  46. Anyone know what type of Commuter Bags goes on this bike? Are they universal because of the metal bracket already provided by manufacturer?

  47. Too expensive for what you get.

  48. I could get a car with that money.

  49. Super Commuter 7 vs Verve+?
